For instance, nearly 36 per cent of all online tweens (defined in the study as those between 8 to 12 years) have chatted with a stranger online, the report said. </p><p class="">Nearly 45 per cent of online tweens had access to the internet post 8 p.m. Nearly 91 per cent of them were either playing games or chatting with friends. Most accessed the internet through mobile smart devices. </p><p class="">Despite Facebook, the world's largest social network, having mandated 13 years as the minimum age for setting up an account, in several instances parents themselves had set up accounts for their children, McAfee representatives told media persons. Three in four respondents to the survey admitted to having Facebook accounts.</p><p class="">"Sometimes, when children receive friendship requests from strangers, they don't know how to process them," Anindita Mishra, online child safety evangelist with McAfee, said at the panel discussion. </p><p class="">Ms. Mishra tweets on behalf of McAfee regularly through the company backed account, @Cybermum_India on issues relating to child safety online.</p><p class="">Meeta W. Sengupta, educational consultant, and Melanie Duca, consumer marketing director (APAC region), McAfee, said cutting off access to the internet or strict policing was not an option as children would find ways to circumvent complete bans. </p><p class="">A better way to deal with safety online would be to make children aware of what to do and what not to do. "Think of it like teaching the child how to cross the street," Ms. Sengupta said. "You cannot be holding their hand all the time."</p><p class="">Psychiatrist Dr. V. Jayanthini noted that in some cases of serious problems because of cyber security, counselling was required not just for the child but for the entire family.</p><p class="">McAfee addresses some cyber security problems through its software suite. British bike company Triumph drives into India

British high-end bike manufacturer <a href="http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/Triumph">Triumph</a> is the latest to enter the country and joins companies like Harley Davidson and <a href="http://www.zigwheels.com/newbikes/Ducati" target="_blank">Ducati</a>, which are betting big on the growing love of Indians for expensive cruisers and power-packed bikes.<br /> <br /> Triumph, which has been looking at India for over two years, finally announced a line-up of 10 models (six to be assembled locally) and said these would cost from Rs 5.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards, running up to Rs 20 lakh.<br /> <br /> Paul Stroud, global director (sales and marketing) for Triumph Motorcycles, said there is a potential for bikes in India, despite issues like poor road infrastructure and the current economic slump. "As the <a href="http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/Economy">economy</a> picks up, the demand for premium bikes will go up." The company, which sells about 50,000 units per annum globally, has got models in the classics, roadster, adventure, cruisers and super-sports categories. "The infrastructure is improving, and we have already seen a good response from potential buyers."</span><span id="advenueINTEXT" name="advenueINTEXT">The company plans to have nine dealerships in India by March and these will be in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore to start with. The company, which sells about 50,000 units per annum globally, has got models in the classics, roadster, adventure, cruisers and super-sports categories. The thin chrome lining along the sides, metallic Lock/Power key on the right and Volume Rocker on the left make it hard to miss the resemblance between the two handsets. Below the screen is combo of Options, Home and Back haptic keys. Overall, the design looks a little dated.</p><p> The build quality of the phone is very good, though it is a little bulkier than we would have liked. It feels sturdy and good in the hand, even better than the Micromax Canvas HD (which costs at least Rs 5,500 more). The body is made of glossy plastic, which makes the handset a little slippery when help loosely.</p><p> The display of BSNL Penta Smart PS501 measures 5-inch, with 854x480p resolution. Though the screen size and resolution amount to a meagre pixel density of 196ppi, the colour saturation of the phone is very good, giving you quite a crisp display. The colours are vibrant and brightness level is above par. Overall, we are quite impressed with the screen quality of the phone, ranking it ahead of the Micromax Canvas Viva and Videocon A42.</p><p> Penta Smart PS501 runs on stock Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system, sans customization. However, you get a few preloaded apps like Flipboard, WhatsApp, Opera browser, Backup and Restore and Mobile Security, among others.</p><p> On the performance front, Penta Smart PS501 is a bit off the mark. Instead of a smooth experience, we get a slightly slow response. When we started the device, we noticed a slight delay when we pushed the right button and when it actually unlocked. This issue remained in the course of this hands-on experience. Nevertheless, apps opened without problems, though there was a little lag when we downloaded around 40 apps.</p><p> Camera performance of Penta Smart PS501 is below par. Though the phone comes with touch focus feature, the end result is slightly blurry images. The colours are good but there is not enough detail and indoor images are marred by a lot of noise.</p><p> The phone is powered by a 1,800mAh battery, but we will have to wait for a full review to see how long it lasts on a single charge.</p><p> Overall, BSNL Penta Smart PS501 seems like a decent handset, adding to the already burgeoning budget smartphone market. It does not have much to distinguish itself from the wide range of low-end Android phones in the market today, though the screen quality and sturdiness give it a slight edge. Both devices will reportedly be available through online retailers and Nokia retail outlets within a week.
